Dr Ana Costa – BSc, PhD, DClinPsy

I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with over 8 years of clinical work experience. I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from King’s College London, a PhD in Psychology, and a BSc degree in psychology.
I offer psychological treatment to individuals with a wide range of difficulties either in the form of short-term or longer-term therapy.
I am also passionate about helping people to fulfil their potential and lead meaningful lives, and I believe therapy should be an empowering experience that can facilitate individuals getting closer to what is important to them, whilst reducing emotional distress.
My expertise within therapeutic approaches includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and this enables me to provide tailor-made psychological interventions that suit each individual’s needs.
In addition to my private practice, I work in the NHS where I see people with severe and enduring mental health problems. I have worked with clients across the life span from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, and I value sensitively working with diversity.
